QUESTION for Microkorg XL owners

Hey i just bought a microkorg XL, it was the one they had on display in the store.

I brought it home, and decided to use the Headphone output but in my speakers audio is only coming out of the left side. when i set the SP to mono it comes out both sides but if its on stereo then the audio is only coming out of the left side.

Is it supposed to work like this? is it broken? do i need to adjust some kind of settings within the synth to change it?

Help appreciated.
