Okay, got some time tonight and put this together.

Title: "POUND"

I used nothing but that sample and a 404SX (didn't even do my usual battle thing of throwing on a master limiter to boost the loudness, either, so this is pure SP here).

Most of the 'instruments' you hear were tiny loops I pitched and ran effects on. The drums were made using the noise at the end, the 'POUND' quote was actually 'count' but when you throw on compressor, it makes a 'p' sound.

Everything else is standard resample bullshit.

Here is mine- "Angular Telephones" hah!
https://soundcloud.com/clifford-novey/a ... -sp-forums
(all done on 404SX using only the source material but has multiband compression on final render)

As usual I spent many happy hours making sounds and waited till the very last hour to sequence anything. the 404 sequencer blows- this time it seems I learned it will not record your hits accurately if polyphony is maxing (I think anyway)- and no pattern bpm memory.

This was a really fun challenge and I am tempted to throw up all the samples I made because they ended up being so fun to make and varied from such limited source material.

I have also intentionally not listened to any of the other submissions on purpose to avoid influence and look forward to checking them all out now!

EDIT- WOW- everyone's entries are very creative and well done- will post thoughts later. I learned a lot and am inspired by everyone's entries!
