Trouble with quantize! Best setting??

I come from a MPC workflow and im having trouble with the 404 quantize.I tried almost every setting and it never comes out the way i want it.Is off the better option?? Whats the most popular setting around here? I do hip-hop/electronic production if that gives u a better idea.

most people would say they never use it here.

Here's what I do.

First set it to 1/16 and set the first kick so you have a guideline to follow. SO for example in a 2 beat loop it be like this.

kxxx xxxx 1/16
k being the kick

Then after I have the first kick, I then turn quantize onto 1/32 giving me more resolution to play with while also adding some looseness still.

kxkxxx kxxxkx 1/32

Then for snares I turn off quantize and also for hi hat to give that swing. I also do this for the kick too sometimes bypassing step 2 and just going for it as I have enough confidence in playing it without it however, sometimes it sounds really sloppy.

Thank you very much! so i can actually have diff quantize for all my sounds??? i thought it was just 1 resolution for everything LOL.
