I noticed from a few of your beats that you have a signature style on your timing.

Yeah, I kinda have a weird way of doing my percussion. I'm sure some people find it interesting and others probably think it's too sloppy or off beat.
I'm glad you enjoyed it, I'll probably end up making another beat tonight since I'm trying a new way of arranging my songs and it's pretty fun and a little easier to do than what I was messin' with before.

this Mr Sparkle beat is really ill
i love the reversed cymbal, creates a nice sly lead-in into the pause before the next bar
are you using the slicer effect at the end there?

really fat sound too

yeah I did have a little slicer going on at the end there. For the sound I just recorded the beat to tape with the levels just slightly going over the peak and then tracked it to audacity and eq'd it a little.

Yeah, I find it easier to sequence without quantize, when it comes to the drums it gives a way better swing.
