SD Card managment when full

I just got my 404sx so im still learning everything LOL.One thing thats on my mind is: what do i do when i fill up all the pads on all the banks and i have hours of sample time on my card still??? do i back that up on a comp,format the card and start fresh??? I dont wanna buy loads of sd cards when i have hours of sample time left on previous cards if thats the case.Someone drop the science for me or let me know how cats usually do it on here.

You can use the backup data feature. A backup contains all data on the SP- patterns, pads, samples, etc. You can save up to 12 backups (assuming you have enough room on the card) When you restore a backup ALL existing data on the SP gets replaced by the backup data.

How you manage after this point is up to you. I have not come up with any fool proof way to manage my data on my PC. I usually back up the whole card to the PC in a dated folder. i will have to get more organized at some point to be able to know what project, song, or samples are on what backup!

YO, good way to store drums is just resample you playing all the hits to one pad. That way u can have a whole kit on a pad, and rechop it whenever needed. Same for breaks or anything really just smashpad that shit.
