sp 404sx question

just got a sp 404sx, ive been trying to sample using a rca cable as well as sampling through the mic but i get no sound from the pads after recording any idea whats going on?video references or explanations

Hi,

Grab the manual and start on p18 it will cover all the details. viewtopic.php?f=3&t=16122

Prob a simple mistake- check to make sure you press rec, select pad, make sure you have good level, press rec again. Also press and hold the pad on playback first time you might just have silence at the beginning you need to trim off.

Also this vid I made has some info and if you notice the blue light in the center around the number display lights up to show if you have a good signal coming in and will turn red when the signal starts to get too hot and distort.

im still not getting sound from my speakers dude...could this be a output/input gain problem?also i notice the blue light so I know its working just no sound

You will have to provide more info on your setup- have you tried using headphones instead of the RCA line out jacks?

i dont have headphones that fit the jack at the moment so im limited right now with only the red/white rca jacks

you could get an adapter to use small 1/8" with the larger 1/4" headphone jack. as for the lune outs where do you have them plugged into?
