SP404 saved my life

Post by lotea »

Seriously. It reminds me of exactly how I felt when making music for the first time. None of the over-thinking involved when using a computer (l lost that 'fun' feeling completely).

Anyways this is the first full track I made on it. Guitarist friend sent me some acoustic parts. Everything else (apart from the kick) was recorded via the SP404's inbuilt mic+line in.

enjoy!

sounds great- I love the güiro snare sound. i feel you 100% on the hardware vs software front- I prefer hardware production over computers for sure. sat for 2 hours last night on a hike chopping and experimenting on the SP-404SX on batteries and could close my eyes to trim and feel.

Did you use the Pattern Sequencer or just record it live from the pads?
