404 memory card question

i recently bought an sp 404
i had a lexar 2gb cf card but
when i try to format it it doesnt
wana work the lights on the banks are
not blinking.

then i tried a Sandisk 1gb cf card and its the same thing
need help guys. i dunno whats wrong

check the slot of the 404 to see if there's a bent pin.

Oh it is good capacity of memory and you can store anything else in it.

From what I know the 404 only accepts cards up to 1 GB of size.
That explains the 2 gig card part at least...
