I wanted a headphone jack at the top of the unit so I could use it in my lap without damaging the orig headphone jack or my groin- hah. I thought about having 2 additional jacks (1/4" and an 1/8") but for now just went with 1/8' for starters. Basic idea is daisy chain as many jacks as you want but only use one at a time so as not to strain or damage the circuitry. This turned out better than expected! Great mod! Happy to see the voltmeter out, that wire job looks super nice. Have you tried both headphones out at the same time? I'm picturing a small jam session with someone on an ext in instrument.
Double posted by accident, but I had another question anyways. Do you think this would work on the input jack as well? An SP with more in/outs sounds very attractive.
No, I was advised that using both at the same time could load the amp and possibly damage something. It prob could be done with a small add on PCB with another amp and some components.
as for inputs, maybe same story- get some advice from people who understand this sort of thing better before attempting- I have seen people do amazing things. Check out DIY forums like I did over at madbean.
EDIT: I might look into this at a later date including the multi input idea- this could be interesting. More likely is I will just add a 1/4" jack first in serial off the new 1/8" jack so I can use whatever headphones I want from the rear panel. I will post back here either way!
