whats good SP fam,
2 questions for yall guys,
i been mainly rocking resample on the SX but recently been tryna use the pattern select,
my first question is, when i got a pattern down (say drums), i try putting an effect on, it does not work, is that normal?
a work around i found is to do the remain and then the effect, is it not possible to just pick the effect and it applies?
second question is, when the effect is on is there anyway you can save that pattern new with the effect (like a resample style i guess).
i guess a work around for this would be to export the pattern and put it back in as a normal sample, and apply the effect, resample, play it in pattern seq?
sorry if shit got confusing guys haha

Effects are applied to samples/pads, not patterns. When an effect is selected, it is applied to the last sample/pad you played. By holding remain, you can select any number of samples/pads to have the effect. Not sure if I answered your question or not.WolfeCuts wrote: my first question is, when i got a pattern down (say drums), i try putting an effect on, it does not work, is that normal?

You answered your own question. The only way to resample a pattern with the 404 sx is to record it elsewhere (tape, computer, another sp, etc) and then sample it back into the 404.WolfeCuts wrote: second question is, when the effect is on is there anyway you can save that pattern new with the effect (like a resample style i guess).
