Wait... What? You set the effect, then you use resample to save the sample WITH the effect to another pad, freeing up the effects for use on another sample...

Are you asking how to permantly assign effects to a sample?

To change an effect from one sample pad to another live just press the new pad one time to make it the current pad and then just press the effect that you want and it will be applied to the new pad.
To permanently place an effect on a sample and free up the fx engine just press the effect you want to add to the sample just before you hit record or if the sample has already been recorded just press resample and apply the effect you want right before you record it to a the new pad.

I may sound like an ass right now but stuff like resampling is clearly and I mean very clearly explained in the user manual of the 404 and 303.

Hey Original Poster, you can download the manual from Roland's web site. I think you have to register, but it's free and gives you access to any Roland product's user manual. Which is great for researching a product before you buy it.

That ninja thing reminds me of one time, when I lived in Glasgow, me and my friend went to the supermarket with scarfs around our heads like that, pulling ninja moves as we shopped. We got some strange looks lol

It all came to a head when I ordered the taxi to get us back to the flat, and when they asked who it was for, I told them it was for "shinobi"

Good times

I roll out the house with my jikka-tabi ninja shoes and my shemagh wrapped all the way around my head and face. I definitely get some wierd looks but usually nervous, and I gotta look out for the cops since I look suspect than a muthafucka.
