A good cheap turntable to play dirty vinyl

you know when you dig up these filthy vinyls, and you want to prelisten to them but not dirty up your 'good' needle..

Any suggestions?

maybe try and get a portable one.. hmmm..

why not check some pawn shops and flea markets ?

or just clean the records lol

yeah but I was wondering if there is like this quality kind of cheap thriftstore turntable that I that dont know of.. haha.


Cleaning records is a hussle. Thats also why I need another turntable.. to use it for cleaning records on.

Vestax handytrax works well for me, under 100 bucks and the replacement needles are cheap

i like the numark pt01, the usb feature is worthless but you're using an sp i'm assuming so it doesn't matter. it has this great hidden speed if you put it between 33 and 45 RPM it goes SLOWWWWWW.

what i do is have two cartrige and headshell setups. one to audition new thrift shit, and one to play it on later after i clean it in the sink with dish soap.

Yeah i bought the non-usb model for like 90 bucks, i think theyre charging like 200 for the usb model. I found some for under 100 on ebay, check it out. Replacment needles are around 20 bucks but you can get a cheaper bulk price for buying a few.
