Hey guys hope one of you can help with this. I used to own a 404SX (which i regret selling every day) but I've just picked up an almost boxfresh OG 404. On the SX I used to be able to quickly copy a sample from one pad to another with a quick button combo but I cant seem to figure out how to do this on the OG 404. Surely the only way to copy a single sample to several different pads isn't by resampling it every time is it? I suppose its no biggie if it is but i've just come from a 505 and been spoiled by its amazing clipboard function!

The OG has the same copy function sadly. There is a more time consuming method that can be found here viewtopic.php?t=4

Ah yeah, the old flying lotus trick. I've heard a lot about but never actually tried it.

I was just really looking for a quicker way to copy the same sample to several pads for different mark points etc but I guess resample is the way to go.

I keep going to press the function button but its not there!

im starting to like the 404sx more the the OG.

OG kicks ass simply for Vinyl Sim and its got a slightly dirtier tint to the sound...

but the SX speed and precision just make it more enjoyable to use for me now. Im much faster at chopping, sequencing, and exchanging pads and samples to make beats on the SX.

If i want to use vinyl sim i just record into the OG but if not im good to go with the SX.

Yeah man, completely agree. Wish i'd never sold my SX and i'd be rocking the OG/SX combo right now. The sound on the OG is better but SX is just quicker and more efficient at chopping/marking/resampling etc. Being armed with both live or two SX's would be awesome.

would'nt it be smart to have a 202 and 404sx combo so that you can record into the 202 and send the stuff to sx. What would be the point of having a 404 aswell. And the 202 has a grittier sound then them all

am i correct ?
