Sampling computer sound into the SPs

Post by Fradfresco »

Hi all,

What is your favorite way of recording sound from your computer into your 303, 404, or other sp devices? My current setup is direct out to rca.

USB.

The 606 works as a soundcard! 555 can do this too.

I have gone out from the headphone jack on my laptop, phone and iPod to the rca inputs on my 202,404 and 505... I've also gone out from my usb audio interface

I probably prefer the headphone jack because it is a less involved process... it's lot easier than unplugging my monitors and plugging headphones in etc

+1 to headphone jack to RCA.

However, sometimes when I want to be away from the computer when I use the SP (sometimes = almost all the time), I'll rout from headphone jack to line in on my tape and record everything I *think* i might want to sample then just bring the tape to my SP and work without a computer in sight.

rca to headphone jack makes any sp really versatile. you can sample "anything" at that point
