SX has colder sound overall. Heat Vision did a comparison between OG and SX somewhere around here....

Yeah it was definity not cold just very very bright. Turned it off and changed my dj mixer to a old amp and everything sounds perfect now. Not sure if its the mixer or there was a mfx that was still effecting the sound even if no lights were open. Anyway thanks

Cool, you got it worked out. You might have been coming in hot. If the main screen lights start going red, it means you're too hot. The clip light will also turn on by the right-most knob.

I believe there are two different input gain settings possible on the 4-4sx, 0db and -10db, It also has output gain settings of -3 dB, 0 dB, 3 dB, 6 dB, 9 dB, 12 dB. Check out whats going on with those and make sure the settings are not all funky. I find the extra settings like this in the 4-4sx really convenient. Also extra delay and quantize parameters, you can get precise with the pattern sequencer. I also find that I can start and stop a drum pattern while messing with samples not in the sequencer and it tends to match up better than I could do the same technique with my 3-3. Seems like it would benefit the folks that are inclined to play live beats sets.

Yeah considering everything seems fine now i doubt it was that but ill give it a look. Havent had much time to play with it yet but so far i definitely like it a lot, more than my previous 303. the new functions make the work flow so much smoother ie resampling a pad and then just copying it back onto the original pad just makes things so quick once you allready have patterns or want to really organize your final kits. Only downside i can see so far is the vinyl sim isnt all that usefull..

Here's something cool for the vinyl sim that I've been doing....sample/resample it while sweeping the effects settings with the knobs in a rhythmic fashion, along with your beat/tempo...it's cool to add mysterious sounding "hi-hat" sounds...
Hope this makes sense.
Fun SP craziness!
