I was just wondering what you guys do with your samples when the beats done ? I always feel somewhat like guilty when I delete a beautiful sample to make room for new ones or think of how i could have used it better... what do you think bout this my sp-brothers (& sisters) ? keep'em or delete'em ?

delete, reset, new shit! If you couldn't do it better maybe you'll rediscover it and transform it again. Always new, old is the same and closes minds to the infinite potential.

Re: Old Samples ?
I'm a delete kind of guy. But I horde samples on the SP-606. With 32 banks and 3 hours of sample time, I can delete when I feel like it. I can make a bunch of albums with whats loaded on the 606

Try and see if you can back up your sample data with a usb card reader, or record your work into your DAW, so that even if your memory card was lost or stolen, you'd still have a backup of your favorite sounds. But, if you feel the need, delete, and start over.
