For the istance i have no examples sorry. But i can say you that there are no patches, it's monophonic and you have only synth parameters

Hi,

I don't have it in front of me but it is not too bad. from memory: it has ~12 to 18 parameters. waveforms can be sine / saw / tri / noise for each of the osc and the sub osc. There is an lfo with S+H / TRI / SQR wave shapes that can target pitch, filter or pulse width. There is glide that works on a kind of last pad legato.

you can only trigger the synth from the pads, so you get a little over an octave chromatically across the pads. no midi. you can detune the osc over 2 octaves to get higher and lower pitches across the pads.

to gate the synth you need the second FX assigned to the enveloper effect. This lets you open the filter when you press the pad (you can change the attack) and begin closing the filter when you release the pad (you can control the release), I think there are a few filter shapes (high pass, maybe band pass). If don't use the enveloper effect then the synth sustains and the pads just switch pitch.

you can actually stack the oscillator effect twice and end up with 4 oscillators, 2 lfo's and it actually sounds thick and pretty mad. unfortunately you loose the gating functionality so you just get angry drones.

it's worth bearing in mind that the dbeam synth is more useful than normal on this sampler. It has more parameters than my 555 and lets me for instance, assign a square wave to the pitch and get a cool arpeggio affect going.

It gets really interesting when you use the enveloper affect to open and close the filter using the pads, so you are changing pitch with the dbeam, but only letting the notes through you want using the pads.

I might be able to upload some audio examples this weekend if that would help.

Any other questions let me know.

Yes ,you can resample the synth and apply fx (like delay, octaver etch!)
Soon I'll upload some raw synth samples....

It's interesting to use, but it's not really the best sounding thing out there. Pick up a used MicroKorg, or any used synth, because if the 606 is your only synth in your arsenal, it's not going to totally be the best one you've got. But it is there if the 606 is all you've got.

I would like to hear how the 606 synth sounds.. I know what a microKorg sounds like... if I wanted one I would've had one 10 years ago. I have owned several analog synths and two digital keyboards. Currently I own a pre-midi Moog and a number of soft synths..

I like the idea of a synth inside my sp unit so I am curious as to how the 606 synth sounds... that's why I asked

I know why you want to hear it, but I don't own a sp606 anymore. I was just giving you a heads up on how it's not the greatest built in synth. Did you try looking on youtube?

just a mess of noise, but you can make it musical if you want.

i didnt mess with fx, but you can combine fx, no midi or anything.

but you can play the pad synth and dbeam at the same time .
