SD card issue

Post by grandpakyre »

so i was loading some samples onto an sd card using an sd card reader and my comp. i ejected the sd card reader but accidentally pulled it out of the usb drive before the computer was finished ejecting. an error message popped up but i figured it wasnt a big deal cause ive done this with other devices ipod etc. and there was no problem. but now my sp 404 will only play about half a second of any sample i have loaded on a pad. i plugged the card reader back in and deleted and reloaded new samples and properly removed it. still the same problem. i tried a different sd card in the sp and it works perfectly normally. is my sd card fucked? is there a way to repair it/wipe it and reformat it for the sp?
oh yea..also when i turn on the sp with this specific card in it, it reads SP 404SX and then does the flashes lines "-.-.-." but for a suuuper long time before it stops. it flashes at least 24 times
thanks

You could try putting back in the usb card reader on your computer and the right click and format the card, eject the card(properly!) re-insert it into the SP-404sx card slot, power on the sampler and then press cancel then remain to reformat the card to SP-404sx format. You could also attempt to format the card in the SP-404sx alone, if you have not already tried to. hope the card comes back to operation, oh you have to hit delete button to format in the SP-404sx after pressing cancel and remain.
