Is it possible? Could we create sound, effects without ableton? And can any hardware replace it?

alchemists has been posted numerous times and is always inspiring,

try miking your sounds to tape, its about the analogest you can get, despite the source.

OP: You suggesting that Abelton is only other alternative to SP? That's kinda bold statement...lol

For analog, Korg's been spitting out cheap analog gear left and right. Use tapes and records for sample sources. Record back to tape...

hell, bounce from tape to tape to tape and get 3rd generation analogue detail loss if you want.

i used to search some education specialized in sound design or just some tutorials and mostrly they use ableton and pro tools.

I can't recall if I have seen it before but it was awesome again if I have. I get hypnotized by that Dr.Who theme song every time I hear it. Nice to know backmasking was used, I/ve been very interested in this technique recently.

Yeah man, I also just found out today that I can send a sample from my computer/ipod/music device etc. through the monotron and get crazy fat analog distortion if you crank up your computer sound level. You can also do some really deep bass filtering low pass filter sweeps with the ms-20 modeled filter on there. I have a monotron delay so I can stop the playback in my audio device and open up the delay to catch a sound and then warp it with the time knob. I can only imagine if you have an electric guitar or piano that you can also take use of the distortion "effect".

Mic an over-driven tube amp. Then put it through a reverb tank.
