 Post subject: Sp-404 and tascam

I just finished a song on my 404 and im using my tascam us-144 to put it on the computer but the quality is super shitty, what do i do to make it better?

does your computer have latency issues. If so it can make it sound like a digital scramble mess. Otherwise, the sample rate and all that other behind the scenes shit might not be matching with the software your using and it may be playing it weird. Some dumb computer shit.

I use US-122 with hacked drivers for windows 7 and have no issues with recordings.

I used ASIO 16-BIT US-122 as my source and it hasn't failed me yet.

If you're not using ASIO this might be the problem. Your recording program should at least support it. If not, get a different one.

Also, if you're talking about the final saved track, make sure your settings when saving are good. Some programs will default to some crappy lo-fi that you have to manually change when you, say, render MP3.
