iPhone Max Possibities w/Sp

Post by Lazyfoot23 »

So I think I'm better concentrating in public with music.
So I want a backpack set up.
2 iPhones, an SP, akai mini keyboard, 1/4 plug, and an iRig recorder.
iPhone 1 - samples connect via mic input
iPhone 2 - records via iRig instrument plug connected from headphone output.
iRig Amplitube - can be used as a 4-track, so I can listen while I dub, Roland aught to fix that, also I can export finish product.

If I Get the....
Midi Dock - to small keyboard, any good apps?
Now can I use a CF Camera Card Reader to save the Roland files?

Anybody done this iPhone maximization concept and can help a 404'r out?
Thanks for the help.

Hey man
I'd recommend lay off the phones and maybe get an ipad? I find that the midi keyboard thing isn't very inspiring when hooked up to a phone. Ipad apps like SAMPLR and the ipad version of Animoog never need a midi keyboard to control it.
I find that an ipad and my SP is all I need for music making...
I hook up my ipad to my SP and vice-versa with the little Behringer 2 in/2 out RCA plug interface ($25).
Lay Down Thy Raincoat and GROOVE.

LOL...so true. Although, with music, a new atmosphere can be inspiring. I'd prefer a quiet place to a Starbucks though!

You get velocity sensitivity with the midi keyboard, which is something the iPad can't do.

I would recommend against iPhones, though because you don't want to get bothered with people calling you while making your beats. ;)
