volca beats is an instant cop when it's release. I've Been after an anolouge drum machine for ages but could never afford one. I find the older i get, the less cash i have for toys, finally something i can afford! Thank you korg.

Anyway, those machines seem a mini version of electribes with a TB303 retro taste (talking about the look).
Talking about the sound, i don't know what to say. I'm however curious to listen to the polyphonic one wich , in korg's intentions, has to sound like the miniKORG700S (1974)....let's see that, guys...

I've owned a microkorg and currently have a monotron delay and a padkontrol, all of which I have been thoroughly happy with which I greatly appreciate. I wish roland would do similar re-release/re-interpretations of their classic gear we all want. I'd love a space echo that isn't a guitar pedal, or a ms-1 sampler in the spirit of the korg monotron. But I just make music in my room, so what do I know.......

korg was always out of my eyesight, it was always roland and yamaha. Yamaha's old shit is good, nothing new stands up. But korg has been blasting out shit for the past 2 years thats getting taken off the shelves quick. The ms2000 still stands up and the microkorg i hear is dope as shit, never had one tho but i keep considering it. Ive been infatuated with gear that doesnt take up a ton of space but does its job well. 404sx, monotribe, kaoss quad, and the zoom r8. Besides the kaoss quad, i can take the other three into the bathroom while droppin a deuce and droppin a beat with the battery option. So these 3 new boxes has me like a fox on the hunt or a cat with his nose to the ground.

2nding Ellaguru. Gonna wait till they're in shop before losing my shit over these (gonna be hard doing that but). Where's the catch? But then again cheap as chips entry level grooveboxes are always welcome. That loop synth looks unique, loving the possibilities there.

Remember that Korg are human & can make the best stuff as benign as the next mob...
a) they fucked the Kaoss series pretty hard with the Quad, Kaossilator Pro & reissued KP3 (same case as 1st KP3 with new OS, don't offer the new OS to existing KP3 owners).
b) they fucked the chance to relaunch the Electribes. ESX & EMX reissues were EXACTLY the same as the old ones, but with a new card slot. But noobs flipped because they came with the hottest brostep sounds.

Anyone else noticed that the cases they're housed in seem to be made from bits of other Korgs? The dials are straight off the EMX/ESX & Monotrons. Def cool to look at these little beasts & think Frankenstein!

Korg made the Monotrons circuit bend friendly... Hope they do the same here.

Damn, the synth got the Motion Sequence as for the Electribes series....that's hot. The bass (or it's the drums?) got the Jump Sequence so you can jump from pattern to pattern without waiting the end of one: that's fantastic for improvising...
But the Sound Question still remains: i mean, if they got battery capabilities (that's great!) How powerful they sound? ...well, if we look inside "our garden" we have sp404 and sp202 wich sound great...(yamaha su10 too)...i'll wait to try those...

They got only midi in....i was just dreamin to buy hot sequencers (that Jump Seq function is very intriguing!)very cheap...

korg monotribe is battery powered. Ran the pre stocked shitty batteries in that thing for like 4 months with it on all the time.

monotrons & -tribe; ms20 mini, volca series - thumbs up guys!
beside the ms20 they are are all pretty toyish, which is cool cause it leads into (non visual) creativity. i can easily space out on the delay for an hour...
a bit tempted by the volca beats since i never owned a drum machine.
but 6 sounds only?! we'll see...
maybe hardare sampler ain't dead also?
