Quick question about mutes

I was thinking about picking one of these up and I was wondering if there is a function which would allow me to cut or mute out the audio (i'm not talking about mute-outs).

I don't think I worded that very well but hopefully someone can understand what I'm trying to ask.

You could assign an effect to pads that you want to cut out and then trigger that. The subsonic fx is quite easy to set up to do this.
