I mite have a solution to get the SP 606 to work. Help!

So i was wondering if anybody have tried this but, what if we used software like virtual box, parallels, wine bottler, etc. to create a virtual machine on our macs or pc to install and run the SP-606 in conjunction with the computer? Do yall think that would work? I was trying to create an a virtual XP machine on my mac and install the driver that way. Do y'all think this would be effective? Please help! The more brains the better! So lets figure this out! Thanks!

I searched and searched this forum lol. I was just wondering if the drivers did install on my virtual machine, would I still be able to run it in conjuction with logic or reason 6.5?

Don't use virtualization for audio apps!It's a mess(audio clicks&crackles) and high latency,not recommended at all for low-latency and realtime playing!

ok thanks. I wish I could get my sp 606 to run with mac. I have mac osx 10.8.3 and I have the Sp 606 2.2.1 driver. If someone could help me out, that would be great. I wish roland would update their drivers!

it works with mac. did you go to usb/midi menu and turn vendor driver "off"?

I finally got it to work. my sp 606 was plug into my usb hub. i had to plug it directly into my mac. im so ecstatic . i already recorded two songs out. thanks for your help.
