Hello fam - I'm playing a set out tonight just on the 404sx.
Problem is this -
I'm playing a tune say on pad 1 (ungated), then I hit pad 2 to trigger a one shot with some FX but after I have released my finger (in gate mode), and now the FX has switched to pad 2 and I can't do any dubs on pad 1.
Or just before pad 1 has finished playing out I hit pad 3 which has the next tune on it,and pad 1 had the FX on it, now when pad 3 plays I can't do any dubs on him either.
Does anyone know what I am talking about? It's reducing me to looking like a karaoke machine up here half the time LOL
FX + pad problem: hopefully an easy solution?

Use the remain button to apply the effect to all pads, just don't forget to turn off or change the effect when you switch pads.

Great bro - so the safest way midset to do that is hit remain + ?
I'll check the manual if need be but if you have experience. I have just done this practising a set at the moment and somehow something worked - I just can't remember what I pushed !

Just hold remain and push the desired effect. That sets it so that whatever effect you hit from that point is applied to all pads. Check the manual if that doesn't make sense.

That's perfect. Thank you amazingly.
Playing off the 404sx, why would you ever want to play off a laptop? The sound is absolutely brilliant, and I didn't even use the converters, just transferred WAVs onto the card.
Thanks so much.
