Hello,

Is there any way to directly over write or resample onto the same pad that you want to put effects on? for example, I have pad 5 with a sound, I want to add reverb. but instead of resampling it to 6, then back to 5 (because it's already part of a pattern) just directly over write 5 with the reverb on it?

Thanks very much...

I'm not certain this works but I would imagine if you resampled to pad 6, deleted pad 5, and then use the copy function to move the sound on pad 6 to pad 5, the sequence would trigger the proper new sound. But I'm not positive.

yeah, i dont know of any way to do this other than resample, delete, resample. this is where the copy function on the sx comes in mighty handy, makes the whole process happen super fast.

resample once and swap the pads, then delete the original when you are confident the new one is what you want to keep, or if you're more like me, when you are desperate for space and the beat is like weeks/months old but you still convince yourself that you wanna work on it

With the 404sx you can copy and paste pads. Press function and hold down 1. You can also move a sound from one pad to another without making a copy. Press function and hold down 2.

The sp 808 has that ability. Overwrite the pad. It could even be the pad your resampling. Which is fucking great. 16 pad resample with no copy or exchanging.
