I've had 2 names, one name is constantly in flux.
The first was Dyslexic DJ. The reason wasn't because I actually have dyslexia, it was because my initials are JD. So in order to get around the fact I dont' actually DJ, I thought it would be clever spin on the whole triangle of all that info. I still, to this day, put in DIS for my arcade initials in high scores.
Then if someone asks, I just say "I just DISsed all the scores below me."
hseiken is a longer story. Originally, I was using internet handle Black Lung (X-Files? Anyone? And yes, I do smoke like a chimney) but it started getting too popular so I was looking for something that no one else would possibly use and I was watching Fatal Fury movie and the 'super technique' was Hakkyokku Seiken (not even sure I spelled it right, tbh). Well, I assumed that spelled in english based on it's pronunciation in the english dub it was hakyoku seiken. My friend who's a Japanese major asked if I knew what it meant. I told him I got it from Fatal Fury and it has something to do with hungry wolf. He said "Well, based on the way you spelled it in English, it's pronunciation is more like *says it a different way* and translates literally into Political Catastrophe." I thought this was even COOLER! However, no one could pronounce all that shit. So I shortened it to hseiken, which doesn't even look japanese but looks chinese. And even then people don't get it right on the first try 95% of the time (pronounced H-SAY-KEN) so finally I just shortened it to the literally ungoogable HS. And normally if someone askes me what HS stands for, I tell them it means whatever they want. High School, Hot Sex, Hundred Slaps, whatever you want because it's easier to say that than explain the whole story of Political Catastrophe mispelling of japanese word into english.

So you'll see me around the webs as hseiken, hakyoku, HS and my youtube channel is Heavy Systems. I had an idea for awhile to just keep putting out tapes as different acronyms for HS. Probably will just stick with HS, though.
). After that it was King Kolnz for a while. Then I came up with Chopperman because I chop samples to fly like a chopper (helicopter). I'm a fan of superhero mythology and as a kid I looked at my favorite beat makers as superheroes. I didn't understand how beats were made so it seemed like magic. SP stands for Super Powers in my book!
