Im new to the forum although I've been lurking here for some years, ever since I borrowed a SP 404 from a friend.
Very positive site and great music!
Some tapes i've downloaded and bought through this site have been on heavy rotation!

It is also kinda funny to see a name or two on here that have bought followers and likes from a website I used to work for. LOL. My brother in law has such a company, I worked for him for a while. Easy sidejob for a student. but I just couldnt do it anymore, it is so fake.but there is such a huge market for it right? that I dont even blaim people that started the companies.It is superfunny though to see what 'musicians' buy the packages.
Shitty competitiveness I guess.

What always struck me as peculiar is that nobody even notices and thats the power of the tool I guess. but still though/ having more likes for a simple video as a hobbyist in a day than a big label as stones throw, or an established producer as Exile etc.. should bring up some questions no?

They do it in the mobile game industry. Its called "Boosting". When you launch a new title, you can pay another company to get you a ton of installs so your numbers skyrocket in the itunes store and your game hits the top of the charts. They have this thing called organic installs which is any install from an actual person. Most companies that do boosting will see, within the first week, lets say, 50 organic installs and like 3000 boosted installs. Kind of a funny choice of words. Boost! Urban dictionary might define it as theft.
Didnt know people did this for fucking facebook likes and youtube views. Fuck! Social networking has only done one thing in my opinion and thats given a forum for the most egotistical, arrogant psychopaths on the internet.

I've seen a couple of really talented women making dope shit. But as my girlfriend (she's a looker who makes comics) says, that's never the first thing noticed. First it's her boobs, THEN it's her work and it's because of the medium being dominated (well, I wouldn't say dominated personally, I would say populated) by mostly men.
