So I've been trying to get this warm mellow sound, kinda like the #12 Comp on the mfx but more. anybody know how to help? thanks!

I would suggest running your sounds through old gear, that will color the sound before you work with it in your sampler. Worst comes to worst you can always add some stank with VST's that emulate vintage gear.

+1 to that suggestion. If you go the VST route, I like to use Classic Limiter and FerricTDS. Actually, all of the 'Classic' series VST's are must haves if you do any work on computer. They're light on CPU and sound pretty good. And they're free, which is even better. ;)

put it on cassette then rerecord back to computer.

i just put this on cassette then back to computer and this was the result:

but i also used 303 aswell... thatll help add the warm feeling to it

you might also want to try using the limiter . (cancel + mfx) in combination with reverb before or after limiting. the reverb with a limiter can also help de ess vocals, as the high range of the OG, is rather nasty, especially when boosting with the isolator anything past 12 o'clock. I used similar techniques with mastering songs inside the SP and then dumping the wav to the memory card.
