'89-'95: Michael Jackson, R. D. Burman, Ananda Shankar, Kalyanji Anandji, Shankar Jaikishen, Genesis, Nirvana, Hall & Oates, Prince, The Beatles

'95-'00- DJ Shadow, Cash Money & Marvelous, Grandmaster Flash, Wu-Tang, Notorious B.I.G., 2 Pac, Mobb Deep, DJ Krush, X-Men/X-Ecutioners, Invisibl Skratch Piklz, DJ Rob One, Beat Junkies, Kruder & Dorfmeister, Dan the Automator, Crystal Method, Ultramagnetic MCs, Public Enemy, Dr. Octagon, Kid Koala, Double Dee & Steinski, DJ Cam, DJ Vadim, Chemical Brothers, a lot of independent electronic artists from mp3.com

'00-'05- Molasses, Unkle, Nobody, Eliot Lipp, DJ Frane, The Alchemist, Blockhead, cLOUDDEAD, DJ Signify, The Avalanches, Cut Chemist, Kanye West, El-P

Not much of my taste has changed over the years just the landscape of the entire music industry.

I remember I'd always take my CD wallet and discman on the bus in junior high. That wallet had the first Crystal Method album, Biggie's Ready to Die, Shadow's Endtroducing, the first Rage Against the Machine album, Tears for Fears- Songs from the Big Chair, an early jungle and d'nb mix by DJ DB, and Wu-Tang Forever. Other classmates thought that was the weirdest collection they had ever seen.

as a kid into my early adulthood Bad Brains, Spazz, Extreme Noise Terror, and Bolthrower were heavy influences on the music I was making. As I got older and mellowed out more and got sick of needing to depend on other people to make music my interest in hiphop started growing and seeing Daedelus live the first time made me take the idea of making beats serious, cus I didn't want to learn to DJ but I'm way more interested in being able to do something live than not. As far as what inspires beats I make, mostly local Seattle area heads, random soundcloud folks, and heavy doses of Madlib.

When I was young I played the violin... put that away and started with the guitar (nylon, not electric), I wanted to be the second Jack Johnson...
Then somehow, I came to this beautiful genre called Hip-Hop.
At first, it was gangsta ish from some german rappers but then I started bumping U.S. shit and thats where it started at.
Youtube was my modern "crate diggin" spot.. spend so much time there until I found out about producer/mc oddisee, cat from washington d.c. his music was the reason why I got into producing beats.
Then it was just a matter of time before I found out about the heads behind the beats and was just blown away by how one like dilla can make diverse and at the same time simple beats that make your head bounce like it was the easiest thing in the world...
Long story short, Oddisee introduced me into the world of samling and producing, from there it was clear that I would be bumpin Hip-Hop all day and night

I hope my english is not that bad...
