Flying Lotus- July Heat???

Post by springwater »

I can only hear it on Grooveshark, they have the entire album on there. What is the story behind this album, most discographies dont even include it in his album listing. Anyone know the story on that sweet ass album that i randomly acquired a few songs from recording it from pandora into cubase a few years ago. Just found out its a whole album like today.

the rest are easy to find unless your looking for some more underground shit. i dig his early stuff more than the stuff now. You can tell he is exploring which is great but i tend to learn more toward the boom klick, 4/4 extra compressed stuff, than the noisy synth stuff. Still listen to it all tho. Been in this Brainfeeder vibe lately so im going through al their artist and he definitely stands alone. Been diggin Mount Kimbe and Teebs a lot, check them out if you haven't. And this dude LORN.

Definitely agree with learning more from the compressed stuff, and yeah I've listened to kimbe and teebs before, i'll be checking out Lorn though.

Thanks for some history, im always interested in the behind the scenes of the evolution of some great hits. Like the MF Doom Madlib link up. Made such a great album in a short period of time. Seemed like it was on the humbug too.
