thx ill try to do that )))) btw preqwal http://preqwal.bandcamp.com/album/dr-jekyll in your track detective and jigsaw your drum groove is what i'm searchin for )))) you work only on sampler u dont use ableton or fruity
play say a 1-2 bar loop of just hats live and loop it. then go in and move the ones you want just a bit forward or back and play with it until you get a nice groove. then duplicate that 1 bar to a 4 bar and repeat if you want a bit of variance. easy way to do it with software like ableton.
Don't always rely on the grid or quantize. It's a good starting point but to get something groovy you can either play them shits on a midi controller or just cut/paste/nudge/move them midi notes or sound waves around.
Try this in live... Lay down 2 bars of a kick, snare and high hat all quantized to a grid. I'll assume you are using midi but anyways keep the snare on the grid and play around with shifting the highhats up or back a few notches. Try moving the kick up and back a few notches. You can keep the movement consistent or inconsistent. Just experiment.
