To anyone attempting to install a CF card reader in the SP-808, the real test is sampling and saving that sample on the new CF card. There is a long history of attempts that stop at the actual act of sampling. Installing a reader and getting the display to show extra sample time is common with most all attempts. Nobody to my knowledge has gotten past that point. Please don't waste your one guys. The firmware needs to be adjusted.
Also converting to the A6 OS is really not worth the hassle from my humble experience. I did that on two of my SP-808 units and found all I did was wish I had my SP-808 functionality back.
I strongly believe that if and when a working update comes to the SP-808 with regards to storage there likely will be a craze for the SP-808 again. It's a fantastic box that is severely limited by the zip drive.
