still no output from right RCA out after re-solder job!

Post by false tropics »

Anyone else ever had this problem? I took my 303 to a local technician to get soldered when the right output crapped out. The guy assures me the connections are good, and that there must be a bad chip on the operating board somewhere.

If I jiggle the right RCA chord when it's plugged in, I get intermittent sound, and the phones out still works fine. Does anybody work on these things, like is there a Bruce Forat for SPs?

You need a new cable? Stupid question I know. My RCA cables always shit out on me, even the expensive ones.

I wish it was the cable! I tried a few different ones, same lack of output. Thanks, though!

Well you could open up the 303 and visually verify if the technician actually soldered the rca outputs to the board, if so was it done sloppy/poorly? If so I would call the shop that repaired it and ask if I could bring it in to show them. If the work was done properly but genuinely did not remedy the problem I would just record from the headphone out, if that output does not work then I would suspect something more serious is occurring. Hope that helps some.
