Animoog x mkxl hooked up with a camera kit and nano controller mapped
With midi cc into sp404 just created a whole new level for me.
Its on par with any vst/virtual analog synth

Yeah dudes. iPad is freakin rad....
Record your SP tunes/patterns into multitrack daw app or cubasis, then overdub animoog onto the SP stuff via audiobus...RAD!!!

I have an iPod Touch with NanoStudio. I make lots of cool little beats on the move.
When I get back to my main rig I go through my Nano beats, soloing the synth parts and sampling them onto SP-606 pads (ditching the drums). It's a pretty awesome way to get original samples- then I can further flavor with MFX.
I go iPod > 1/8" mini to stereo > DBX386 w/digital out into digital in on the 606. The sound is really good.

been away from my sp for a rather long time but been messing with both ipad and ipod touch.. there is a lot of good stuff to build melodic stuff and sample directly to the sp... sunrizer has some insane sonic capabilities and the whole korg range.. ms20 polysix electribe and kaossilator.. tabletop is great too if you got the full list of modules... this little gem is not that known http://www.triqtraq.com/ check it out too... for the more experimental there is samplr and iterator... have a look

Lately, I've been downloading YouTube videos with an app called mctube. I've got a nice little library going so I can have stuff to sample while not online. Also Downloads HD is a good app to have. It lets you download .rar, .zip files. It also has a good media player, PDF viewer and it even lets you view .avi files too.

I use iPod touch for synthy stuff when I'm too lazy to bust out my full size synth or simply need a couple of synth notes to sample for my tune. Definitely agree small devices with lots of audio generation options make good compliment for 404 even things like Kaossilator can be really fun to use with a sampler.
