404(OG) import issue

Post by baransu. »

Attempting to load 17 songs onto my sp. All have been converted to .wav
but for some reason only 9 seem to be loading onto the sp. Also ive numbered each song 1-10 e.g. 01.wav in an attempt to get them to import in the order i choose, but this is also not working properly.

I realise this is quite a general question, but any info would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks guys!

Sounds like the rest aren't the right bit rate or hz to me. Maybe format the card then reload them on and try? Sounds like either faulty transfer of the files and there is a memory card issue for some files and not other OR it's an issue with some of the files not being the correct wav settings to be imported. Those are the two things that generally fix those kinds of problems for me. Hope that helps. Check the manual for specific audio file settings. Could also try them as aif instead.

Ok so ive tried a new converter, all are at 44.1 sample rate, all songs are .wav, ive named them C01.wav C02.wav etc. to guide the sp. ive reformatted the card and tried it again and again. ive followed the manual word for word, tried things from all different forums.

im lost guys aha only 13 of the now 16 songs have managed to get imported onto the sp.

any suggestions would be great help guys. even recommendations on converters, running a mac fyi.

and thank you for all the previous suggestions

I generally use this for converting files. Haven't had any problems.

Have you tried formatting the card or trying a different one??

If they're all 'full songs' as WAVS maybe you used up all the memory on the card?

+1

importing basicly means copying the wave files not moving...

for example... you got a 1GB card; it's not possible to import more then 512MB at one time (to the internal memory)...
try to import half your songs, get the wav's off the card and import the rest...
