Playing Back Preset Sounds But Not Recorded Samples?

Hi Team!...i can play back preset sounds thats already on the sampler. but when i playback my recorded sample from turntable it doesnt play back. the sp 303 shows that its recorded the sample with the pad lighting up to the length of the sample put cant hear nothing?

Im using turntable into 2 mixer and got mixer going in2 NI Audio Control Interface and got sp 303 in 2 mixer and out Tascam Digital Porta Studio 8 Track (but not sure how to use it).

May be your input level.
When you hit the pad does it play dead air?
May have recorded too low.

It sounds like you are recording silence because your input/outputs are not hooked up right.

I would do it like this.

Turntable to mixer in. Mixer out to SP in. SP out to audio interface in. Audio interface out to your monitor speakers.

You should be able to hear the sound coming in to the sampler, before you record. And the level has to be up to where your overload light comes on once in a while. So if you can hear it whilst recording the sample, it should play that sample back after wards on that button it was recorded on.

When you are selecting the pad that you want to sample to, you can use the start/end/level button and ctrl 3/mfx knob to adjust the volume of the recorded sound. Maybe this level got turned down somehow before your recording took place.

to check whether the sound is even getting to the SP, plug headphones into the SP and turn all other speakers off. if you cant hear the sound the routing isnt right
