Yeah the pads are dope much better than the Fantom X's. The only problem is that they make quite a loud noise when you hit em

Yeah, two SP-404s... but I will be using them seperate for now. One in a typical madlib type of way...or typical sampled hip-hop type of way...the other strickly as a drum machine in my more synthesizer based songs.

We use our 2 SP-606's in exactly that fashion. It's AWESOME for live performance; you can have everything you need setup on the SP's, as well as having other equipment like synths and drum machines running through the effects in realtime.

It's like having two Kaoss Pads but even more powerful! And about 10 million times more interesting for the crowd than all the Abelton Kids they usually see these days..
