TBH doesn't sound all that impressive to me. I'll be waiting for the new mini Korg MS20 to be shown at NAMM.

Ms-20 will be half the price. Probably last half as long. But will th ms-20 sound a LOT different than the mono series? The moog has flavor for sure. If all the knobs send/receive midi I will be impressed.

Yeah there's loads of monosynths out right now & Moog's maybe got too many out right now. We're spoiled for choice, even before Korg drops another MS. Not convinced with the sound or price with the Arturia Minibrute's all analogue, has a unique oscillator layout, solid build & is literally half the price of the Moog.

Disclaimer: I just bought a 'brute & am busy falling head over heals for it... So I'm biased.

Yep, sweet sounds! What it can do is nice. Can't say I'm an analogue nerd & I doubt I'll change after the 'brute, what I love is the oscillator stacking & old-school DIY tones. No 'or what' or anything like a catch, thankfully! Will get down to recording it in a week or two.

*EDIT* Chances are the Moog will sound classically better & have a nicer filter. Honestly the rare filter design used in the 'brute hasn't grabbed me, it's functional and sounds OK but it's nothing to hype. I actually prefer the Monotribe's MS10 filter! You get what you pay for.

I have heard very little out of the sub phatty that I liked. I guess I just have digital ears! The minibrute sounds better to me. I really wanted to like the sub too. I'll try again later.

also a brute owner so biased but...yeah its going to be double the price of the brute , which I realize some is build quality, but I think side by side the brute will be more capable, except maybe for the low low moog bass that other synths dont quite match

Not at all. The original MS20 is well over 30 years old and still more reliable than a lot of the modern moogs like the little phatty which had issues.
