sp404sx recording velocity into patterns. WORKS!

First time I've tried this, as I thought it wasn't possible......

but I plugged my 404sx into a velocity midi keyboard and actually recorded velocity information into the 404's internal pattern!

This is going to be sweet on hi-hats!

Yeah this works on the 303 also im pretty sure. I use this when I'm using pattern mode.

I had no idea! I have an akai mpd32 but never really use it because I just bust out beats on the sp and hardly ever use a DAW. Now I have a use for the mpd!
