SP-303 to MacBook

Hello All, I wanted to hook my SP up to my macbook so I could use it with programs like garageband or audacity. I have a rca to line cable. After I plug that into the headphone jack of my laptop does the rca end go into the line in or line out on my sp? And what sort of preferences should I set my computer to for recording from SP to the computer.

line in = for audio coming into the sp from turntable/synth/whatever
line out = for audio leaving the sp and into something else

so use the line out on the sp
and for ur preferences on computer
