SP-404 problem, lose everything at reboot - please help!!

Post by turboben »

Hi,
Recently purshased a used sp404.
Had a lot of fun first night and everything worked fine.
But each time I reboot it after turned off i cannot hear anything sounds from sample to pattern and from internal and card banks...
All my samples still seem to be on there as the bpm appear when I hit a pad.
Was thinking maybe a card problem?
If anyone have a clue on this let me know!

Thanks

Are you saving properly? Press and hold 'func' button and hit pad 6, then select a slot to save it to.

The 404 always saves once a sample is recorded.

I think this is a card problem. I've similar problems whilst exchanging samples and they just disappeared! They were still there on the pad as you couldn't record onto it and the bps was showing, like you said.

Thankfully my problem disappeared after another format

Ok thanks! I'll try this later.
So a simple format of the card in the sp404 and it will be gone?

Was also looking to purchase another compact flash card but all i can find is minimum 8g or 16g would it work also? But we'll only have 1g available?

Thanks for your help everyone!
