Fuck all that, I've weeded through tons of garbage to find some gold with my pt-01. If I'm spending money in someones shop they don't care that I get what I actually want. I really only bring it to flea markets and yard sales since all the record shops I go to other than goodwill have turntables set up for previewing records already set-up, it's pretty standard for any shop that takes buying and selling records seriously.

I dunno if that guy did the same thing as me, but I just removed the glue stuff holding the mat onto the platter so that it operates as a slipmat, and if you're moving the turntable around a lot, and you don't want it falling off all the time, all you need is some double sided sticky tape to fix it back in place
