Very poignant statement. Reminds me when I was in New York (quite a trip from UK) over Summer.

Me and my Wife were walking through the droves of tourists when there were a line of dudes handing out beat CDs. I asked "for free?" and they repeated "yeah, for free!" One of them started giving me the speal of how they wanted to get on TV and how Timbaland was crap whilst one of them dudes started twirling my wife saying how hot she was etc. He signed two copies of his CD and then demanded a donation. I replied "I got no change and you said for free" he kept pestering me for some cash and then when we still refused they pushed us a long to repeat the patter to some other tourists!

I was disguisted! Dudes back in the UK are giving their shit away for free without any speal! And why in hells name am I going to give $10 for a CD I aint even heard of or even know there's actually anything on it! That price I can buy a signed artist's CD.

Suffice to say, I got wise to these and avoided the similar speal from other beat makers in LA around the Hollywood stars.
