iPad: perfect compliment to SP?
Hey
I'd like to drum up some thoughts and experiences with using an iPad as soundsource(s) for SP sampling goodness.
I've got one loaded with all the dope synths and samplers and I find it totally inspiring.
The iPad can be used with a USB interface and can record muktitracking jobs with ease and then turn around and sample things into the sp and vice versa...
The little behringer uca202 (2 in, 2 out) works like a charm when connected via USB with the iPad camera connection kit. The multitrack daw app is rad for muktitracking duties....the numerous synths are so damn rad (animoog, sunrizer, nlog, etc) and SAMPLR is one of the raddest things I've ever come across!
I have a pro Mac and ableton set-up. I wanted to get the hell away from producing on the Mac....so I bought a sp404sx....the workflow and sound and effects, and even the quirks have made music FUN again. I've gone from sitting at a desk staring at the screen to sitting in my big as bean bag chair, jammin hard with this ultra portable and fun setup.
Any of you cats digging your iPad/SP combo?

Yes... Sometimes I use the Ipad/ sp combo too.
Mostly with DM1( very dope drummachine app) and all the synths.

I use amplitude to record and sample my bass and microkorg. Lots of cool stomp boxes and amp sims. So, yes, I use the sx and iPad in tandem as well.

Re: iPad: perfect compliment to SP?
I sometimes rock iPhone synths straight into the SP. Tiny screen compared to the iPad but still fun.
Re: iPad: perfect compliment to SP?
iPad makes great sampler food. Also great for Gas, if you want a sick new synth or drum machine to expand your game just save up 10 beans and you got an amazing new app.
Re: iPad: perfect compliment to SP?
Been using my ipad heavily.
Got some nice synths on. Rocking the Sunrizer synth and a few other freebies. Just work out a riff, then record each note in the 404 and sequence it.
I've noticed theIpad to be noisy tho when plugging into 404. I also notice a slight hum/buzz when you touch the screen. Don't care too much mind you
My new beat tape ( http://preqwal.bandcamp.com/album/mr-hyde ) is all 404, microkorg and ipad

Re: iPad: perfect compliment to SP?
I have had better luck going from my ipad to the 404 1/4 input on the front with an adapter that takes the 2 rcas down to one 1/4 mono(radio shack). It's not stereo, but it sounds fuller and cleaner and I can crank the ipad output and adjust the level at the 404 jack.

Using the Mic Input? May give that ago.
Would increase polyphony as previous samples were stereo!

ipad is a good compliment for browsing the spforums...
Re: iPad: perfect compliment to SP?
Add a few guitar fx peddles and your away.
I find you kneed to boost the audio out of the iPad.
