How to get media file version of a pattern onto my computer

I'd like to play back and manipulate patterns I have created on my sp on my computer. Samples are saved in .wav form on the sd card plugged into my sp and so it is very easy to record samples on my sp and then save them to computer. Patterns however, are being saved in the form of .bin files which I obviously cannot open up with a media player or manipulate with a DAW. Am I not understanding something about the nature of pattern data recorded in the sp? If it is not possible to get a media file (i.e. wav) version of patterns off of my sp does anyone know of an easy way I can record a pattern from the sp to my computer?

i don't think you can export patterns on the 404, but you can record the pattern into your program with the RCA outs plugged to your headphone jack of your computer...record into audacity or something free and easy

thanks, i'll try that - that sounds quite simple when you lay it out.

yeah and i think that samples are always saved in .bin form (at least as far as i can tell from reading the manual). so i'll have to record audio of the patterns. thanks.

thanks - i downloaded this the other day before realizing that i need a midi cable to actually use it. it looks pretty cool so i am looking forward to playing with it.
