Sample based beats on bandcamp?

Do people sell sample based beats on bandcamp? Was going to put up a mix tape for free download but with the option to pay whatever. Do bandcamp take your stuff down if they notice samples?

Well as long you're under the radar there shouldn't be a problem, but sampling without permission is illegal.

Most stuff bandcamp takes down are mixtapes of various known artists but if someone cries foul on a sampled beat, then they'll take that down too, free or not.

If you're gonna have other folk & money involved it'll help to start thinking like you're a record label, because that's more or less how you'll be acting if it goes ahead. Think about cutting profits, promotion, licensing, verbal agreements vs written contracts etc.

If you do go the label route, be prepared to part with some cash if you profit off other people's music. That goes for the performer/producers as well as the music they sampled. It's illegal and unethical to profit off what other people made without aknowledgment & not giving them a cut. Don't try to skimp it by saying 'no one will notice this' because somewhere a nerd eventually will. Check out the wikipedia page about DJ Shadow's Endtroducing, here's a fan made list of what he sampled. The list may have taken years to put together, but it's been done.

The mix tape is just a few beats I've made since getting my 404sx doesn't feature anyone else, when its up i'll let everyone know.

Dont mean to sound like a dick or whatever, but... mix tape implies a compilation of multiple artists. What you have is a "beat tape". Its confusing when improper terminology is used. Just wanted to clear that up, sorry if i offended you by correcting.
