Sample panning on 404sx.

Post by Astromass »

Hey.
New user here. Am i missing something?
Can one pan a sample independently without using the mix panning effect? I'm just needing to separate the individual pads to different sides.
Thanks .

no panning, if you just want something panned hard left or hard right you can sample it in with stereo turned on, but with one of the RCAs unplugged, and if it is a short enough sound you can play with the settings on the panning effect so that it is as slow moving as possible and try to resample the sound you want at just the right time, but i've found that method to be super frustrating, if you have something like a digital multitrack you should be able to pan in that and and then sample back into the 404, you could also do this in a DAW as well
