Just curious what everybody does to pay the bills... i work at a hotel, in the banquet department, i setup and clean up for various corporate functions and weddings and stuff. I also serve food. Its a chill job and i work with friends. In addition to working full time i take welding courses at my local community college, working towards certification in welding. Thats the career i plan on getting into once im educated on it...

i work in oncology pharmacy, making chemo and all the stuff that goes with that. In a pressurized clean room so have to dress up in suits sorta like hazmat gear. It's all good, doesn't pay well for a low level grunt like me but it's nice to do something 'good'. I get my weekends and my evenings to chill with my girlfriend and make music so can't complain :-)

I am a engineer here at my studio. I help record and produce clients. Before that was working at a bullshit factory. Each session usually pays some good money but sometimes you want to get it over with based on my clients personality. Oh forgot to mention I tattoo as well, that always helps too.

Loading trailers at UPS. It's hard but I actually enjoy it. It's union so I get benefits but the pay isn't great. It gives me a lot of time to work on beats, I like not having any stress to worry about when I'm at home. Been thinking of looking for full time work though, maybe at the railyard (KC), but welding has always been something I thought would be fun too. I'm studying IT but I'm not sure if an office job is I want anymore, I know a lot of system administrators have to work overtime on salary, and take all the responsibility when something goes horribly wrong with a network.

Yup, that's what usually happens with the IT guys at my job. :)
I'm a producer for a PS3 games developer, keeping game artists in line and on schedule. I always go digging during my lunch breaks since all the decent spots are within walking distance from work.

This ShapeShifters song haunts me in my dreams: "Quit your job, make music all day" - yeah well. Sigh...

post college grad still lookin for a 'real job', did electronic media/arts/communications in school, lots of digital audio work cause it was what i was into in my personal life at the time (obviously still am), but in retrospect i wish i had went towards IT/comp sci stuff, i found that i like to keep music on the side (in reality i would say i keep my work/career on the side), currently I am just doing carpentry/general contracting shit, lots of painting recently which i really enjoy, and it's been fillin my pockets enough to be dead broke by the end of the month with more records than i know what to do with so thats tight/shameful, hoping i can find a job soon that pays decent, gives me benefits, and allows me to go back to school, and possibly they would even pay for it

I teach pre school. The kids are all napping right now, excellent time to check email and read the forums while I eat my lunch.

Ha! They wake up just fine on their own. then it becomes a struggle to keep em quiet to avoid waking others.

Our nap music is teebs collection 1 because i like it and i think it has a sort of barely there quality that makes it easy to tune out when it's on repeat for two hours.

very nice choice. Something subtle if you keep the bass down.
