Here's the problem:
When I sample say, 15-20 seconds of a record, the sample will record but when played back, it will SKIP, like a CD would skip. I thought this was an issue with my SD card, so I went and bought a new one. I thought the issue was resolved but apparently not.
Something I've noticed is that it does it more when I have a lot of samples already loaded onto my 404sx. If I clear/reformat my SD card, it doesn't seem to do this.
Anyone else having this issue? I can work around it, but it's just an annoying issue. Any thoughts?
Anyone else have this problem with samples skipping?

Odd. I wonder if it has to do with disk fragmentation? Seems very unlikely to me, given that these SD cards are not spinning platters!

Yeah i have this problem. Its especially annoying when i bounce tracks from audacity back to my sp, sampling a whole track takes at least 4 tries to get one that.doesnt skip. I have no remedy but i know what you mean, ive learned to live with it
Re: Anyone else have this problem with samples skipping?
what size card do you use?
this only happened when to me when i tried to use a 1 & 2gig, anything under 1gig seems to record and resample without skipping
